The State Railway Administration of Ukraine (Ukrzaliznytsia) on January 20 opened a contact center on the organization cargo shipments on the basis of the Ukrainian Transport Logistics Center state enterprise.

State Railways Administration of Ukraine Ukrzaliznytsia has received 33% of the compensation it should receive for the transportation of passengers with benefits in 2013.

The railways of Ukraine in 2013 saw a 3% decline in freight transportation from 2012, to 443.6 million tonnes. Coal was the major type of freight transported by rail: coal shipments in 2013 totaled 118.8 million tonnes.

The State Railway Administration of Ukraine (Ukrzaliznytsia) in December 2013 saw 11.8% rise in daily cargo loading year-over-year, to 1.031 million tonnes. In particular, the daily loading of cars grew by 10.3%, to 16,093 cars.

The State Rail Transport Administration, or Ukrzaliznytsia, handled over 358,200 tonnes of grain January 1 through January 8, 2014. In particular, 343,000 tonnes of grain were sent for export, while 15,100 tonnes of grain were transported on domestic routes.
