Ukrzaliznytsia gets 33% compensation for carrying passengers with benefits in 2013

State Railways Administration of Ukraine Ukrzaliznytsia has received 33% of the compensation it should receive for the transportation of passengers with benefits in 2013.

According to the administration, last year the Ukrainian railways carried passengers with benefits at a cost of UAH 628.4 million, while it got just UAH 204.3 million in compensation.The debts of state and local budgets to Ukrzaliznytsia for the carriage of passengers with benefits totals UAH 424.1 million.

In general, Ukrzaliznytsia spent over UAH 13.3 billion on the carriage of passengers, while it received UAH 6.6 billion in revenues.
