Ukrzaliznytsia head resigns

Director General of State Railways Administration of Ukraine Ukrzaliznytsia Serhiy Bolobolin has resigned.

Bolobolin has announced his resignation to the enterprise's staff.

He made this decision, according to the press service, after talking with new Infrastructure Minister Maksym Burbak, who recommended making such a decision for reasons of political expediency.

The Ministry of Infrastructure has no complaints about the Ukrzaliznytsia CEO relating to the implementation of his professional responsibilities and the business activities of Ukrainian railways. Bolobolin, in turn, at the meeting with the new head of the transport industry, asked to keep the company staff and appoint a new head from professionals who have the respect of the entire team of Ukraine's railway men.

Bolobolin was appointed the director general of Ukrzaliznytsia in January 2013.
