Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways in August increases loading by 2.04%

Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways in August 2014 increased cargo loading compared to August 2013 by 2.04%, to 3.497 million tonnes.

On domestic routes 1.497 million tonnes of freight was loaded. In particular, construction materials amounted to 859,240 tonnes, industrial raw materials – 150,300 tonnes, cement – 119,200 tonnes, ferrous scrap metal – 88,100 tonnes, timber cargo – 73,400 tonnes, firebricks – 52,200 tonnes, grain – 39,200 tonnes, chemical and mineral fertilizers – 39,200 tonnes, non-ferrous metal ore – 27,900 tonnes, oil and fuel – 11,600 tonnes.

The railways in August shipped 1.999 million tonnes of goods for exports, including construction materials - 1.256 million tonnes, timber – 148,400 tonnes, grain – 464,000 tonnes, cattle cake – 33,500 tonnes, industrial raw materials - 13,600 tonnes, food – 28,700 tonnes, firebricks – 21,500 tonnes.

In the first eight months of this year the loading amounted to 24.010 million tonnes, including that on domestic routes – 9.569 million tonnes, and for export - 14.442 million tonnes.
