Lviv Railways cuts cargo loading by 2.1% in Jan-June 2014
State-run Lviv Railways in January-June 2014 cut the loading of cargo by 2.1% year-over-year, to 9.691 million tonnes.
In January-June 2014, Lviv railways exceeded the target for loading of scrap ferrous metal by three times, to 299,000 tonnes and the target for loading of industrial cargo was over-fulfilled by 59.8%, to 132,142 tonnes, a total of 731,340 tonnes of cement was loaded.
Coal loading grew by 31.9%, to 875,479 tonnes.
Fuel loading fell by 13.3%, to 267,835 tonnes, construction cargo loading was down by 2.6%, to 4.415 million tonnes and grain loading declined by 10.1%, to 800,584 tonnes.
In June 2014, Lviv Railways loaded 1.894 million tonnes of cargo, which is 2% up on the target and 1.3% up on June 2013.
