Lviv Railways launches direction connection from Kyiv to Budapest and Bratislava
Lviv Railways has announced a new direct service from Kyiv to Budapest (Hungary), and Bratislava (Slovakia), from December 14, 2014, which will run daily.
The railway company has inaugurated the new service to satisfy customer demand after the cancellation of the Moscow-Budapest train pair No. 15/16, and the Moscow-Sofia train pair No. 59/60.
The new direct connection will be organized as follows: The car travelling from Kyiv to Bratislava will form part of the Kyiv-Uzhgorod No. 99 service and return as part of the Uzhgorod-Kyiv No. 13 service. The car will depart from Kyiv at 15:22 (arriving in Lviv between 00:14-00:45; in Chop between 06:05-09:05) arriving in Bratislava at 18:05. The returning car will depart from Bratislava at 05:55, arriving in Kyiv at 10:01 the next day.
The car travelling from Kyiv to Budapest will form part of the Kyiv-Truskavets No. 49 service towards Lviv, and from Lviv as part of the Kyiv-Uzhgorod No. 13 service, returning as part of the Uzhgorod-Kyiv No. 81 service. The car will depart from Kyiv at 20:45 (arriving in Lviv between 04:30-05:25; in Chop between 10:53-14:20), arriving in Budapest at 18:37. The returning car will depart from Budapest at 07:23 (arriving in Chop between13:40-16:02, in Lviv between 03:48-04:14), arriving in Kyiv at 10:00 the next day.
