Lviv Railways has announced a new direct service from Kyiv to Budapest (Hungary), and Bratislava (Slovakia), from December 14, 2014, which will run daily.

Lviv railways will prepare 650 passenger wagons for the winter period, including 560 wagons consuming combined coal and power heating, while the rest of the wagons are heated with coal.

Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways (Kyiv) has repaired four trains of the city train and launched them on September 27.

Part of the track near the Odesa-Peresyp railway station was damaged by an explosion on the night of Monday, September 29.

Donetsk railways in August 2014 cut cargo loading by three times compared to August 2013, to 4.144 million tonnes.
